
Erik Potteiger is a professional singer, percussionist, pianist, commissioned composer, and conductor based in Philadelphia, PA. He holds a B.M. in Choral Music Education and Vocal Performance from the University of South Carolina. As a bass, Erik has performed across the U.S. and in eight countries on three continents, appearing with ensembles such as the Voces8 US Scholars, The Cecilia Ensemble, Choral Arts Philadelphia, CORO Vocal Artists, Coro Vocati, Dualis, Elevation, Hidden Voices, Mastersingers of Wilmington, Mendelssohn Chorus, Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, The Princeton Singers, The Red Shift, Tenēo, Vox Fidelis, The Washington Chorus, West Jersey Chamber Chorale and Women’s Sacred Music Project.
An active church/synagogue musician, Erik has served in residencies at St. Thomas Fifth Avenue, Christ Church (Dublin), Durham, Exeter, Southwark, St. Albans, and St. Patrick’s (Dublin). He also performs regularly as a cantor and staff singer throughout the Tri-state area.
Erik has collaborated with leading instrumental groups nationally, including The Philadelphia Orchestra, Brandywine Brass, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, North Carolina Baroque Orchestra, Philadelphia Bach Collegium, Philadelphia Brass, Philharmonia Orchestra of New York, Quartetto Obrigado, Philly Pops, Reading Symphony Orchestra and members of Filament and Tempesta di Mare. Beyond performing, he enjoys teaching, producing and creating content.
